This devoted team of knitters and crocheters shares their talents by crafting prayer shawls for people literally all over the world! Begun in 2008 by a QUMC parishioner who had been gifted with a prayer shawl in a previous church, the group’s mission is to let people feel the comfort of God’s love as they go through both difficult and joyous times in their lives. Since the ministry began 12 years ago, almost 2000 shawls have been given to others.

Although the ministry has temporarily suspended meeting due to the coronavirus pandemic, the group normally meets from 3 to 4 PM most Tuesday afternoons in the parlor from fall through spring and 7 to 8 PM in the evenings during the summer. However, some people choose to make the shawls in their homes. Knitters and crocheters are always welcome!
