The Qumc Annual Holiday Fest will be from 9-3 on Saturday December 2nd, 2017.
Our Vendor Corner: As our 2017 Holiday Festival approaches (9 AM to 3 PM, December 2 at the QUEENSBURY RAMADA INN, just next door to QUMC!), we would like to highlight some of the crafters who will be joining us that day.
Hear from Queensbury resident Carolyn Rudolph, who makes holiday floral arrangements and painted candles: “Even as a child, I’ve always tried to be creative and can’t resist the urge. People have appreciated what I create and urged me to sell my creations – and so now I do. It’s very satisfying and gratifying.”
If you have an interest in selling at our Holiday Festival, please contact coordinator Paula McMahon at 518- 792-3676 as soon as possible!
Wendy Sue Barody, owner of Beads by Barody, says she loves jewelry and wore it often when she was a teacher. Now that she’s retired, she has changed her hobby into a business and loves craft fairs. “They are a great way to meet people and learn their wants and needs,” she said.
Dianne Hastings, also known as Glassy Lady, makes lovely items out of recycled sweater mittens.
Queensbury photographer Don Polunci makes rustic bird houses from found materials. He got his start by asking a friend for some slab lumber to build a bird house. As a thank you gift, he gave him a bird house. His friend liked it so much that he suggested that Don make and sell them.
Elizabeth Pagan sells Perfectly Posh pampering products. “I help and support women (to) feel good about their skin so they can discover the true meaning of pampering and build onto their self confidence, “ she says.
